Bucksmore Summer Programmes are looking for Directors of Studies, Activity Managers and EFL Counsellors (English language tuition + activities) at 4 residential summer schools in the UK.

Bucksmore recruit individual students and small groups from over 20 different countries worldwide. Depending on the course chosen, students receive between 15 to 28 hours of English tuition with a mix of afternoon and evening activities, full day excursions and half day trips every week. Staff are involved in all aspects of the programme including residential welfare duties and airport meet and greets. Staff follow a rota system where they will work the morning and aftenoon sessions or the afternoon and evening sessions and have one full day off per week. All students except ‘Bucky Kids’ sit the Trinity College London Graded Spoken English Exam as part of the English language syllabus.

Ideal candidates will be enthusiastic, dynamic and be able to work
well in a team. They will enjoy getting to know the students and enjoy getting involved in a variety of activities outside of the EFL classroom. Previous summer school experience is an advantage.

Qualifications Required:
Directors of Studies: first degree + Trinity LTCL Diploma TESOL or
Cambridge DELTA + experience of teaching young learners – summer school experience is a decided advantage

EFL Counsellors: First degree + CELTA or Trinity TESOL Certificate or
PGCE or Bed or recognized equivalent. Experience/qualifications in sports, drama, the arts or music will also be an advantage.

Directors of Studies: £400 per week + performance related bonus

Dip qualified: £480 per week + performance related bonus

EFL Counsellors: £330-£420 per week depending on experience (including performance related bonus)
returning staff loyalty bonus

£20 supplement for first aid qualified staff with a current first aid qualification

All accommodation and 3 meals per day included
Holiday pay is inclusive of the basic pay at 12.07%
